With the new hire of our fantastic Home Repair Manager, North Newstead Association is able to start up our Minor Home Repair Program. If you are living within NNA’s service area–the neighborhoods are listed on the flyer and the application for this program–you are 62 or older and/or disabled, you may qualify for this program. We look at applications and requested repairs on a case-by-case basis and please know that filling out an application does not guarantee repairs. For more information, please see the attached flyer and application, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org, or give us a call at our office (385-4343). Click HERE for the application.
We’ve held lots of great events over the last month and a half. As we work to get the new website up and running, here’s a shortened review of some of the great things residents, volunteers, and stakeholders have helped us achieve!
3 Garden Workshops for seniors — We’ve held some great workshops at the Fresh Starts Community Garden even though the weather hasn’t cooperated as much as we had hoped.
1 Crime Prevention Summit — Over 80 people attended an engaging summit including Mayor Krewson, Chief of Police Hayden, Circuit Attorney Gardner, and elected officials.
4 Beautification and clean ups — Since mid-March, residents and volunteers have joined us to clean up parts of the Ville, JVL, Penrose, O’Fallon, St. Louis Place, and Old North St. Louis.
We’ve also had the pleasure of partnering with neighborhood associations to present on our upcoming home repair programs, future beautification and clean ups, and other programs! If you would like for us to present information about what we do to a group of your neighbors, please give us a call at (314) 385-4343 or email us at email@example.com!
